Much loved, very kind man. Made a cross country trip by tric to aid Katrina victims. Died of cancer. Truly missed.
Intelligent. Ornery at times but also charming. He loved Cowboy his loyal companion. Worked on jet engines for Raytheon. Tragically died without a much needed medical surgery
Mikey died by OD in a friends apartment after recently being housed & sober. Her dog Zero is living in Goleta in a lovely home

During his last months, he could always be counted on to be a star participant in Heath House meetings, entertaining his housemates while he chewed his Juicy Fruit gum.
Came to SB as a Katrina victim. Giant heart. Loved & talked to everyone. Held excellent jobs long term but then ended up on streets. Real hustler at pan handling every days cost of a motel room to stay in. Loved cooking, sharing & was a grateful person. Just wanted a job. Recently housed, died missing dialysis appointments while trying to move.

Big man-6’4′ 240lbs, big heart. Jovial & belligerent. Collapsed while entering jail. Jimmy leaves behind a 16 years old daughter in foster care

Dual citizen of Canada & USA. Marched across USA on Homeless & Poor People’s Peace Walk of 1988. Humorist. Shouted “Give me a quarter & I’ll take out Rush Limbaugh.” Made daily money shouting that. Fought for public toilets downtown. Died in his wheelchair on State Street.

Was lots of fun with contagious laugh. Friends with many cops. Favorite saying was “cool beans.” Took care of many on the streets. Died of liver failure in Florida.

Stiles was a really nice guy. He was beaten over the head by 2 men at the 600 block of Carrillo Blvd. He was 43.
Member of Homeless People’s Assoc. Lived in “the jungle.” Looked like Abe Lincoln. Sweet, kind man. Died of pneumonia on the rail road the tracks at Milpas

Death from alcohol poisoning we are told.

Brutally murdered by another homeless man, Enson Lopez due to argument. Lopez serving time last we heard.
Angela was born & raised in rural IL & was accepted into UCSB where she graduated with a doctorate in 2012. Very involved on campus & at the Unitarian Society. Angela was homeless for awhile living in the woods of Goleta.
Jeffery, from Randleman, North Carolina & his dog Baby Girl lived in a Goleta Park & frequented Showers of Blessings. Intelligent, very artistic, gifted in scientific discussions. Was suffering with cancer. He died in his sleeping bag in Goleta. His sweet dog went to a good home.
